But lots of people have a wrong information about getting flat stomach, so they are wasting their efforts all the time. Here are 5 misunderstandings you should notice.

Extra Crunches for A Flat Stomach

In fact, extra crunches don’t lead to tight abs. The truth is that everyone has ab muscles, which just stay hidden underneath a thick layer of fat on the stomach. You need to focus on burning the layer of fat that may be covering your belly to have a toned look. The key is to not obsess about crunches, but focus on burning fat.

Starve Yourself to get A Flat Stomach

In most cases, you may think that starving yourself is the only way to lose weight and get a flat stomach. But in fact, starving yourself is not only ineffective, but also dangerous for your overall well-being. You may think that severe calorie reduction may lead to better and quick results. So it is important to understand that the human body is complex. As a result, starving yourself may disrupt your body’s metabolism. This will only slow down results. It is important not to starve yourself, but eat wholesome meals after short intervals of time. Eating less may be the key to weight loss, but starving yourself is not.

Diet Pills and Supplements

Well, diet pills and supplements can be quite tempting. There are many pills and supplements which claim to give you a flat stomach. However, you should not fall for it as there is no ‘magic pill’ available in the market. In fact, diet pills and supplements are more likely to hurt your pocket than showing any results on your belly. Instead of popping a pill, it will be better to burn calories with intense exercise.

Packaged Diet Products for Better Results

There are many packaged foods which are considered to be a solution for weight loss. Usually, such packaged products are packed with refined sugar. There are also some artificial ingredients which your body does not really need. Some ingredients in packaged foods don’t lead to weight loss. In fact, they may have a high-calorie content. You should try to avoid packaged foods and stick to a nutritious diet. Whole grains can be a good choice.

Avoid Carbohydrates for Tight Abs

Many notions and misconceptions make you think that carbohydrates are bad for your health. However, if you are one of the people who believe this, it is quite unfortunate. You can eat carbohydrates while slimming down. As mentioned earlier, it is important to avoid packaged foods and stick with oatmeal, whole grains and brown rice. In other words, you should stick with wholesome carbs rather than giving up all carbohydrates.

LED is a high-end technology and widely used for many industries, especially lighting industry. However, LED Sign Board is one of the most popular products all over the world, which can be used to indicate for commercial or decorate for household. Here i will share with you about how to make an unique LED sign board. 🙂 ( For example by heart-shaped)

Tool and Material

Torchstar LED lamp beads

KT board, namely foam board (Black is recommended)

Battery and battery case chose by the size of LED sign board, better with switch

Electric soldering iron, soldering tin

Electric wire: single iron wire or copper wire

1. Prepare a heart-shaped drawing. It should be marked the outline by dots.

2. Cut the KR board into the size you need.

3. Stick the drawing on the KT board, prick two holes by needle at each point according to the drawing in order to be easier to insert the light-emitting diodes.

4. Insert the LEDs into the prepared KT board in proper order.

5. If conditions permit, it is best to stick the LEDs with the board together using the latex, which is more stronger.

6. For the back of board, positive pole should be installed in the outer ring, negative pole in the inner ring, which is good for easy connection.

7. Use electric welding to solder the tinned wire with LEDs together. Notice that positive pole connects with positive pole, negative pole connects with negative pole. Do not take the line to prevent short circuits.

8. After soldering, you’d better take the scissors to cut the excess LED line.

9. Connect the battery box lines with tinned wire together.

10. Paste sponge nature double-sided adhesive tape all around.

11. Prepare KT board as backboard and fix it.

12. Turn on the switch to test. An unique heart-shaped LED sign board done!

Many homeowners purchase the cleaning products from the shelf at their local grocery store and have no problem when cleaning. But in fact,  there are a few problems with these products that a lot of people are not aware of. Many of these products are harmful for the environment.  Also, cleaning companies do not have to report dangerous chemicals that they use in their cleaners. Household cleaners are also an important reason of household poisonings, which are fatal. Most of them happen when a small child catch the toxic cleaners.

In order to avoid using these cleaners to cause harm for your family, we should advocate green ways to clean your house. As a matter of fact, there are so many easy and cheap ways to clean your home. You can use common household ingredients to  get a natural and nontoxic clean, such as white vinegar, baking soda, and lemons, which are most common natural cleaning agents.

White vinegar is a mild acid, but strong enough to clean greasy messes and kill mold and bacteria. It can be used in several ways, such as to clean surfaces, floors, carpet stains, laundry and many more.

Baking soda is the next best product with more cost effective. Usually, it is packed in large boxes.  Baking soda not only can be used for cooking and medicinally, but also for deodorization and cleaning.

Lemons not only help get rid of stains on counter tops and laundry, but they are also a natural bleaching agent. At the same time, they also have a great scent that can add a clean effect to your home. Because lemon juice can be added to vinegar to block out the harsh vinegar scent, so many people use lemons when cleaning with vinegar. Just like garbage disposals to get rid of odors, you can also pour lemon juice down drains.

Above are some household ingredients that can be used to clean the home. They are greener and cheaper than these cleaner products, i think it is a better way. But still, there are a few “green” nontoxic household products on sale. You can make the right choice when deciding how to take care of their home.  For more ideas on green ways to clean your home , visit

The Top Fat-Burning Foods

To lose your weight, boosting your metabolism is very important. It is true that certain foods have a very high thermogenic effect. Other eats contain nutrients and compounds that stoke your metabolic fire. Then now i recommend you some top fat-burning foods to feed your metabolism.

Whole grains

The whole grains can burn twice as many calories than processed foods in your body by breaking down whole foods, especially those grains with rich fiber, such as oatmeal and brown rice.

Lean meats

Protein in the lean meats has a high thermogenic effect: You burn about 30% of the calories the food contains during digestion. For example,  a 300-calorie chicken breast requires about 90 calories to break it down.

Low-fat dairy products

There are rich calcium and vitamin D in low-fat dairy products, they can help preserve and build muscle mass, which is essential for maintaining a robust metabolism.

Green tea

According to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition reports, drinking four cups of green tea a day helps people lose more than six pounds in eight weeks. There is a compound in the brew, namely Credit EGCG. After sipping it, it will  temporarily speed metabolism.  To up your intake, keep a jug of iced tea in the fridge.

More than 20% of people are iron-deficient. Everyday, we need 35% of iron intake. When you lack a nutrient, your metab slows because the body’s not getting what it needs to work efficiently, says Tammy Lakatos Shames, RD, co-author of The Secret to Skinny.

Hot peppers

Capsaicin, the compound that gives chili peppers their kick, heats up your body, which makes you melt additional calories. You can get it by eating raw, cooked, dried, or powdered peppers. Add as much cayenne or hot sauce as possible to soups, eggs, and meats.

If you are trouble with your weight, you can check this article to learn how to lose weight healthier and faster:

Think about  the recessed lighting that’s currently in your home or business. Is it efficient? Is it helping you save money on your power bill, or on your bottom line? Is the light quality impressive? Are the light bulbs incredibly long-lasting?

If you answered “no” to any of those questions, this article is for you. There’s a good reason why “retrofit” is the hottest buzz word in energy efficient right now, and why individuals and businesses across the world are revamping their recessed lighting systems to save millions of dollars by switching to LEDs.

1. Longer lifespan

Average lifetimes range between 35,000 and 50,000 hours for LED recessed lighting retrofits. That means these lights are going to last anywhere from twelve to seventeen years, even if they are left on for eight hours every day. Imagine: If you install an LED recessed light in your newborn’s nursery, you won’t be replacing the light until that baby is leaving for college.

You can see why the slightly higher upfront cost of LED recessed lighting quickly pays for itself! This benefit is especially beneficial for those with high ceilings, where replacing a light bulb is a real headache.

2. Money saving

LED recessed lights deliver the same bright light you are used to, yet they consume less watts to do it. Consider this: a four-inch LED retrofit module uses just 9 watts to operate, whereas its incandescent counterpart blazes through about 40 watts. Multiply that by the number of recessed lights you retrofit, and you have savings on each monthly power bill.

3. Less heat generation

Incandescent and halogen light bulbs give off a whole lot of heat, and each summer, your A/C system is forced to counteract that heat – using even more energy.

The U.S. Department of Energy has estimated that 4-5 percent of the energy used in the entire United States goes solely to removing excess heat generated by lighting. Wow. Let’s make a dent in that 4-5 percent, shall we?

4. Easy installation

Electricians, DIY gurus, or anyone with remote knowledge of home improvement projects need not be present.

Step 1: Remove your inefficient light bulb. Step 2: Pull off the trim. Step 3: Screw the LED retrofit module right into the existing socket.

It doesn’t get any simpler than that!

5. Custom design

If you just can’t part with the warm yellow glow that your incandescent light bulbs give off, do not fear. LEDs are actually available in a wide range of color temperatures. Choose between warm white, cool white, or neutral white when you place your order. Efficient, bright, beautiful light is coming your way!

Stay Active With Kids and Family

If you have kids,  you definitely want to make sure they grow up fit and healthy. But as you know,  it’s hard to balance work, family, and physical activity. So setting a healthy example is a good start. You can check out these tips below to find the correct ways to  get your kids involved and stay active with your kids and family.

Get active

When it comes to heart health, we think not only of our own cardiovascular health but also that of future generations. A study last year found that obese children and teens have as much plaque in their arteries as a 45-year-old adult, setting them up for heart disease and other serious health conditions much earlier than their parents. At the same time, research shows that parents who are physically active increase the likelihood that their kids will be active as well.

Plan outdoor activities

Set aside one day a weekend to do something active as a family, such as swimming in the summer, biking in the spring and fall or sledding or hiking in the winter. Taking along a picnic lunch and splurging on some healthy snacks after a good workout, which will help the day go by without a complaint.

Take classes together

Ask around at fitness clubs and community centers in your area about yoga or aerobics classes, which offer to parents and kids together. If your kid is too young to participate, look for classes that help you burn calories with your baby by incorporating them into your yoga moves or pushing them along during stroller workouts.

Redo your family room

Usually,  family rooms are the center of laziness in a home: a comfy couch, a video-game console, a shelf full of DVDs, and nothing to encourage fitness or physical activity. You can  add subtle reminders. Set a time limit on weekly television viewing and incorporate these Skinny House essentials to keep your whole family moving.

Make chores fun

Turn chores into a game you can all do together, not doing separate chores by themselves.  Race to see how fast you can get the house cleaned, and then try to beat your old time the next week. You can listen to music while doing laundry, and let the kids to sing and dance while helping to fold and put clothes away. Take the dog for walks together, and squeeze in some running, roller-skating, or jump rope while you’re at it.

Mail added several features to let you better navigate between messages and add items like a calendar event without leaving the message. Apple added the ability to send audio and video messages to your friends. At the same time, Messages adds a couple of convenient features: You can set Do Not Disturb on specific threads so you’re not constantly getting alerts from big group messages. You can also now share your location with contacts you’re conversing with, as in the Find My Friends app, view able through a new “Details” button on threads.

New keyboard(s)

We can finally install third-party keyboards! Rejoice, Swype users!

A predictive text feature called QuickType will learn your idiosyncratic linguistic tics and suggest personalized auto-complete text.

Messages gains the ability to name group threads, drop people (or yourself) from a group chat, or mute a chat. You can send an audio or video message in a way that’s similar to WhatsApp.

New Siri features

Awaken Siri solely by voice command. Say “Hey Siri,” then ask it questions or get directions without having to physically touch the phone. Siri can also identify songs with built-in Shazam integration. Apple took fingerprint reading mainstream with the TouchID sensor in the iPhone 5S. In iOS 8, it’s going to open up that level of convenience to developers, who can let a user unlock any password stored in their keychain placing their finger on the reader. That could potentially be even more convenient than Lastpass app logins on Android.
